Our Mission
At TDHC, we are a Christ-centered, family-focused, non-profit Christian community committed to sharing the life-changing message of the gospel. Our mission is two fold: to faithfully preach and teach the Word of God as revealed in the Holy Bible, and to extend the love of Jesus Christ to our local community and the world.
Whether you’re just beginning your spiritual journey or seeking a deeper relationship with God, our prayer is to meet you right where you are—with no rules and no judgments. We trust that God will use us to be a vessel of encouragement, hope, and transformation in your life and the lives of those you love.
Our Vision
The principles of The Divine Healer's Church (TDHC) originate from scripture and are therefore in accordance with the word of God:
Everyone is worthy of salvation.
The gospel must be preached to the ends of the earth. Christian mission requires us, as disciples, to share the love of Christ with the world around us.
We must strive for excellence in all that we do; always the head and never the tail.
Jesus Christ expects full devotion from all His disciples.
Our History
For decades, our church has been a beacon of hope and transformation in our community. Our rich history reflects God's faithfulness and the dedication of generations of believers.
In 2009, God showed Himself faithful by opening the door for us to own our church building. Initially purchased as a warehouse, God guided us through many challenges, and by His grace, we officially moved into this building in April 2012. The church has since become a center for growth, transformation, and community change, ensuring that we have lacked nothing. Through His provision, various ministries have been established for His glory, including Men's, Women's, Young Adults (BUILT), Children's, Ushers, Food Committee, Planning Committee, Hospitality Ministry, Audio-Visual Ministry, Arts Ministry, Safety and Maintenance, Intercessors, and Praise and Worship.
In response to God's calling, He directed Rev. Joseph to establish a TDHC branch in the United States, which officially opened in August 2000. The church has since made a positive impact in the community, winning souls and providing support. With humble beginnings, TDHC started in a basement before moving to a rented room in 2002.
The Lord established this church through Brother Gilbert Lawson, the founder, after he received numerous gifts at a convention in 1954. The church was originally founded that same year and was formally known as "The Lord is There Temple." In 1967, it was officially renamed The Divine Healers Church (TDHC) and was registered in 1979. Since then, the Lord has continually added to our numbers, growing the church from one branch to over 2,000 branches today, both in Ghana and internationally, including in Togo, the United Kingdom, and other countries.
