Audio & Visual Team

The key responsibility as an audio & visual team member is to ensure that sound and video are transmitted flawlessly through all available media to the congregation and online viewers. The Audio & Visual team along with the Events Committee usually set up for church services and special events. The Audio & Visual team also works very closely with the Praise & Worship team. The team also assists with the sound needs of the worship team, including performing sound check for quality prior to the service and operating the sound mixer, computer, projector and camera.

The Audio & Visual team, Events committee and Praise & Worship team ministries, blend together the creative talents and technical skills of God's people to create an atmosphere for God's presence to manifest through thanksgiving, praise and worship. These ministries primarily aim is to see God's people experience the salvation, healing, deliverance, hope, joy and peace that are found in His presence.

Children's Service Ministry

‘Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it’. Proverbs 22:6 (KJV). Our children are our future. The children’s ministry is focused on enriching the lives of infants, toddlers and youth through nursing, teaching and training. Our mission is to ‘Effectively minister to the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of the children’.

We do this by teaching the word of God to these children in a way and manner that is fun and easily understood by them. Through the reading of Bible stories, singing songs, sharing and breaking bread, and creating artwork. We create an environment for them to know our Lord Jesus Christ and to learn and pick up good manners and habits.

The music ministry blends together the creative talents and technical skills of God's people to create an atmosphere for God's presence to manifest through thanksgiving, praise and worship. As ministers of music, our desire is to see God's people experience love, salvation, healing, deliverance, hope, joy and peace that are found in His presence. Ushers

The Ushers Ministry at The Divine Healer's Church - NJ Branch is devoted to helping the church accomplish its overall mission by presenting a positive and loving atmosphere during church service and other special events. The purpose of the usher is to prepare people for a positive worship experience. An usher is a spiritual ambassador for the church - God's ordained and organized body of believers.

The usher serves as a "first representative" of Jesus Christ for a worship service. You are one of the first impressions that others have of the Divine Healer's Church. As such, you have the unique opportunity to set a positive tone for each person's day by warmly welcoming them and providing assistance as needed. You will be helping others by maintaining order, eliminating potential distractions and reducing the fears associated with attending a new church.

Women's Fellowship

“Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.” Proverbs 31:10. God formed women with intricate detail, giving us the special ability to love without reserve, protect at the cost of our lives, and care for our families unconditionally. He also gave us the unique responsibility of maintaining life. Weaker vessel in terms of physical strength only, yet emotionally unrivaled. We are indeed fearfully and wonderfully created. The beauty of Jesus Christ in our lives manifests as ‘a virtuous woman’, which the bible describes as industrious in generating income for her family, respectful in relating to everyone, humble in service, generous to all in need, strong in running her household, wise in speech and action, lovingly by accepting everyone into her home, charming from inner beauty, and above all a God fearing wife, blessed and praised by her husband and children.

One who brings honor to her husband and family in the community in which they dwell (Proverbs 31 vs 10-21). This is our aspiration as Christian ladies in The Divine Healer’s Church. We are called to serve in the house of God by being a mother to the motherless, a friend to the friendless, comforter to the troubled, and child to the childless and to give advice when sought for. We are a family and we open our hearts to all children of God. We are ladies of virtue, called to be divine vessels of honor.

Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry adds a youthful approach to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. This ministry facilitates the coming together of people within the ages of 13 to 25 years with the intention of overcoming the challenges that are faced by young Christians of this generation. The youth ministry leadership aims at establishing a platform upon which the youth in the church may stand on to attract other unsaved youth in the community by their deeds and actions. This is in accordance with the scripture stated in Matthew 5 vs 16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”. The core mission of this ministry is spreading the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and developing the gift of the Holy Spirit embedded in each member.

History

Rev. Comfort Lawson, the wife of the founder of The Divine Healer’s Church, saw it as a personal duty to teach young men and women to participate actively in the service of God and therefore founded the youth ministry. The current leadership of The Divine Healer's Church New Jersey Branch were once members of the Youth Ministry in Ghana where they received formal training in leadership, evangelism, preaching, and running of church administration. The YouthMinistry has always served as the backbone of the church and is the dynamic factor upon which the future of the church is dependent.

Composition

Young adults between the ages of 13 and 18 years form the body of the Youth Ministry. After 18 years, members are matured enough to join the men or the ladies fellowship of the church. An age limit is set in order to address the peculiar problems faced by this generation.
